At Honesty Home Care, we recognize the importance of consistent service and the comfort of familiar faces in personal care. Our availability ensures that you receive the support you need when you need it. As we get to know you personally, your care plan will reflect your preferences, including the hygiene or beauty products you prefer and the people you feel most comfortable with. Specific tasks, such as nail cutting, shaving, and diabetic foot care, will be outlined in your support plan with your caregiver.

Our approach to personal care revolves entirely around your needs and routines, providing convenience, security, and peace of mind. Your caregiver will follow your schedule, allowing you to live life on your terms.

Personal care includes:
  • Bathing and showering, including bed-baths
  • Applying lotions and creams as required
  • Dressing and getting ready for bed
  • Oral hygiene
  • Applying make-up, and hair care
  • Support with shaving
  • Foot care, especially if you are diabetic need to be extra vigilant with your feet
  • Helping you to the toilet, including using a commode or bed pan
  • Changing continence pads, along with cleaning intimate areas
  • Ambulation, or help with moving in and out of the home
  • Changing or maintaining a stoma or catheter bag, or other form of clinical intervention
  • Support moving position in bed, to stretch and prevent bed sores
  • Companion visits, such as help with correspondence, reading, and art activities
